GLOBAL warming claimed some unlikely victims this weekend, with entries to the annual Pool poultry show down by 200 birds.
Unseasonably warm weather has been blamed for the lower-than-usual turnout, with birds moulting early, scuppering their chances of being shown.
Despite this, there were still 580 chickens and ducks entered for the event at the Carn Brea Leisure Centre on Saturday.
Entries were from all over the country, with up to 70 cups up for grabs.
