THE South Somerset Peace Group will hear from Ray Ratcliffe, a life-long activist on issues of injustice, at next week's meeting.
The Devon based former aircraft engineer who retrained as a teacher has campaigned on issues from Biafra and South Africa to Nicaragua and Chile.
Last October he was in Palestine helping olive farmers harvest their crops in the occupied territories, were he was tear-gased and detained at gun-point by Israeli military forces.
Roy will talk about "The World Social Forum: Peace, Justice and Diversity."
The meeting is open to all and starts at 7.30pm in the Minster Rooms on Tuesday, January 27. There will be a discussion afterwards and entry is £2.
