Bideford travelled to Billingham in the fourth round of the FA Vase on Saturday and won 4-2. But Torrington and St Blazey didn't do so well.
Bideford's ex-Torquay professional Ellis Laight scored twice, after Ben Rowe had put the visitors in a mid first-half lead from a Robbie Herrera corner (another ex-Gull). Then top scorer Mike Southgate finished the job with a late penalty.
Torrington lost out to Chertsey Town, who will now face Bideford in the fifth round, going down 5-1. And St Blazey lost 3-1 away at Eastwood Town.
Keynsham and Bitton, the South West's other two teams still in the Vase, also went through.
