Police are trying to trace a woman who may have suffered head injuries during an attack on a bus in Bristol.
The woman was sitting on a bus travelling along Sherrin Way, Withywood when a youth threw a piece of masonry through the bus window.
The brick smashed the window and is believed to have hit the woman on the head. When the bus stopped in a lay-by the woman left the bus with a baby which had been sat in her lap.
A short time later a woman of mixed race appearance was seen walking along Redford Crescent, Withywood, holding a tissue to her head. Police believe this may be the victim of the assault and would like her to contact them.
The offenders are believed to be three male youths, around 14-15 years old, two were wearing dark clothing and one was wearing a white bomber jacket. All three were carrying snooker cues.
Inspector Richard McKiernan said: 'This was an extremely reckless act and could have led to serious injury to someone travelling on the bus as well as damage to the bus itself.
'As it was a young woman suffered head injuries in the incident and it could have been much more serious.'
