Yeovil mother Donna Anthony has been given fresh hope that the two life sentences she received for the murder of her two children could be overturned.

Anthony is one of nearly 260 women convicted of killing their babies who will have their cases investigated following the appeal of freed cot death mum Angela Cannings of Salisbury.

Anthony was given two life sentences in 1998 when consultant Sir Roy Meadow gave evidence which helped to find her guilty of murdering her son Michael and daughter Jordan. An appeal was over-turned in the summer of 2000, but Anthony's solicitor George Hawks is convinced his client will now finally be cleared.
