POLICE confirmed this afternoon that a young man had been arrested as part of their ongoing inquiries into the murder of a 74-year-old woman in North Cornwall.
Joan Roddam was found dead at her home at West Brow, West Downs, near Delabole, on November 8 last year.
Police said that a 27-year-old man from North Cornwall was arrested yesterday and was being questioned by detectives.
But they stressed that the arrest was part of the on-going investigation to find Mrs Roddam's killer and they still urged anyone with information to come forward.
A post-mortem revealed that Mrs Roddam, whose body was found in a field behind her bungalow, had died from asphyxiation and suffocation.
