Minehead midfielder Robbie Fearn has knee ligament trouble and could be out of action for a lengthy spell.
"It's a great pity, because Robbie is a very fit and strong player," said Minehead's joint manager Charlie Lewis last night.
Fearn was expected to play a key role in Minehead's games this season, having signed from top Taunton Saturday League side Sydenham Rangers during the summer.
The midfielder was one of the stars for Rangers who dominated junior football for several years.
His loss - plus the departure of other players - has left Rangers struggling at the foot of the Saturday League this season.
l The Somerset Football Association have lifted their suspension on title-chasing Wellington side Linden City who play in the third division of the Keyline Taunton Sunday League.
The club were banned from playing after failing to pay the fines of two players who were booked during matches before Christmas.
