A COUNCILLOR, who told the News she was to quit Chard Town Council after spending part of a night in a police cell, has decided not to resign after all.
Cllr Sue Wyatt, who was arrested by police following a domestic at her home on Sunday, January 11, says support from colleagues, friends and family has persuaded her to think again.
"In light of this support, I wish to inform my constituents that I have no intention of resigning from Chard Town Council, and I wish to continue to serve the people of Chard to the best of my ability," she said in a statement today (January 16).
