CHINNOR 45pts
TRURO 0pts
ANOTHER defeat on the road for Truro who are now anchored at the foot of the table with fourwins from 13 matches in South West One League.
This was a heavy defeat for the city side who failed to get any points on the board.
Key factors in the home team's win was the strength of the backrow trio plus the pace of the threequarters, especially the wings.
Player/coach Steve Larkins has a mammoth task on his hands. Stalwart prop forward Alan Milliner is still very much involved with the club and his experience is going to be invaluable in the days ahead if city are to climb out of trouble.
Although they are bottom, they are still well in touch with a number of clubs just above them, but they do need to quickly redress the balance.
Skipper Nick Yelland, when all of his forwards are fit, has a number of options to call on.
Overseas player Wym Barrs has returned to his home country and was one of the players to give Truro several sterling performances in league fixtures.
Conceding three first half tries, Truro trailed by 17 points at half-time.
Second row forwards Tom Johnson and James Kingdon went over for tries to add to that of a converted try by James Hewitt.
Winger Charlie Oyebade twice showed a clean pair of heels in the second half as the home side ran in seven tries. Tom Hewitt, with a try in each half, plus all four second half conversions, finished with 18 of his team's points.
Truro, at the moment, are fixtured with near neighbours Penryn, at St Clements Hill on Saturday.
