SKATEBOARDS in the Burnham area were safely showing off their skills at the weekend, thanks to £1,000 of new mobile skating equipment.
For years, youngsters have complained about the lack of areas to show off their skating and skateboarding skills in Burnham, Highbridge and Cheddar.
And despite a skate-park being built by Sedgemoor District Council, youngsters were still using pavements, street corners and Burnham Esplanade to skate on.
