A SECONDARY school in Taunton has been ranked as one of the best schools in the country on the back of its outstanding 'value-added' score.
GCSE and A-level performance figures released by the Government today (Thursday) show Heathfield Community School a gaining a superb score of 104.3.
That figure, combined with other performance data, meant the school was placed 12th in a national newspaper's best value added schools table.
The score aims to measure how much a school has added to its students' levels of achievement, and is based on progress made by individual students from one stage of their education to another.
