Parents of students at Helston School are being invited to comment on plans to change the timing of the school day from September.
The proposals, which include reducing the current one-hour lunch break to 35 minutes and ending the school day at 3.10pm instead of 3.35pm, are being considered because of concerns over the lack of supervision available during the lunch break.
A range of extra-curricular activities would be on offer from 3.10pm, with the opportunity to stay on at school to continue with studies and complete homework.
Alternative ways of structuring the school day to accommodate the changes are due to be considered at a public meeting at the college site on Tuesday.
