THE first game of 2004 saw Ilminster back to their best after struggling to come up with the football they knew they could produce at the end of 2003.
In the first half the under 12s took five goals, with Charlie Rutter, George Miles (2), William Spurway and Jonny May scoring.
After the break Geoge Miles scored again for a hat trick and Charlie Rutter added a second, taking Ilminster's total haul to seven. Rivals Stoke Youth U12s failed to score.
Meanwhile Ilminster's U12 girls put nine goals past Burnham United, and kept a clean sheet.
