The body of a man has been found in a freezer in a village south of Bristol, police have said.
Officers discovered the body at an address in Oaklands in the village of Paulton. Both the freezer and the body have been taken to the mortuary at Southmead Hospital in the city.
Avon and Somerset Police spokesman Darren Bane said: 'Due to the circumstances in which the body was found, it is likely to be some considerable time before the cause of death can be ascertained and the identity of the man can be confirmed.'
The house has been sealed off and crime scene investigators are carrying out a search of the property.
A woman in her 50s was arrested in connection with the discovery and is helping police with inquiries.
