POLICE are continuing "on-going enquiries" into the alleged rape of a 15-year-old girl in Creech St Michael last week.
But they say there have been no concrete leads despite several calls from members of the public.
A police spokesman said the reported attack on the canal bridge at 9.30pm on Monday of last week was an isolated incident.
The spokesman said: "We are treating this as an isolated incident and have not received any reports of any similar incidents."
The girl told police she was raped by a white man aged 40-50, 5ft 10in tall, with close-cropped hair and lots of wrinkles round his eyes. She added that he was wearing a black or dark blue T-shirt and black velvety or moleskin trousers.
Any witnesses who saw the girl on the bridge between 9 and 10pm on Monday January 5 or who recognises the alleged offender's description should call Crimestoppers on 0800-555111.
