Exeter City have won their appeal over Goalkeeper James Bittner's second sending off against Hereford.
17-year-old rookie keeper Martin Rice made a good show of himself in City's third clash against Hereford during the weekend, and was to continue between the sticks, But Bittner's reprieve will cut his run short. Bittner will return next weekend.
Bittner was sent off for handling the ball outside his area when Hereford beat the Grecians 1-0, but at the time protests were strong that the goalkeeper was well inside his box.
Unfortunately, from the resulting free kick Hereford scored, beating substitute Rice immediately.
The Grecians, who are facing the possibility of a 12-point from the Football authorities, might now have a case that three at least two points have already been taken.
