Plymouth's seven-match winning streak came to a 0-0 end at Grimsby on Saturday when the home team raised their game to foil Argyle at every turn.
In fact, the Pilgrims were lucky to come away from the fishing town with a point, Grimsby were beaten heavily by bottom-of-the-division side Wycombe Wanderers the week before, and they looked on paper to be a weak side. But they put in a hard-working performance, and reaped their reward.
