A £2,000 investment in Christmas trimmings paid off for retired printer Roy Howells when he scooped the top prize in Williton's first competition to find the best seasonally dressed house.
Roy's festive efforts cover his house and garden in North Croft and even include a specially built grotto for Santa.
The hundreds of lights use 60 plugs, while a friendly Father Christmas sings continuously for six hours.
"I've got just about everything from reindeer to snowmen," said Roy, who has been decorating the outside of the house for the past three years, while Janet his wife puts in a similar effort to transform the interior.
"We do it for the kids really -- we even get buses stopping outside now.
"It's nice to bring a bit of Christmas cheer and the neighbours think it's great."
Roy and Janet will be donating the value of their £25 prize voucher to London's Morefield Eye Hospital, where their great grandson Bradley will undergo surgery in the New Year.
Bradley, who is 14 months old and lives in Watchet, is blind in one eye and has a defect in the other that hopefully can be corrected.
