To Shelterbox charity of Helston, I award a bouquet of roses for the attempted preservation of life.
To the Boxing Day hunt (i.e. the unspeakable in pursuit of the uneatable, quote Oscar Wilde), I award a bouquet of poison ivy.
May I suggest that one of the pro-hunt MPs tables a Commons motion to put a ban or not a ban on hunting to the country and let the people decide. I will be happy to abide with the outcome.
Let the cry of the sane, who do not derive pleasure in seeing an animal chased and ripped to pieces by dogs and blood-thirsty hunters be "make 2004 the year for a total ban."
