Football fans attending Saturday's match between Torquay United and Northampton Town at Plainmoor will get the road safety message from councillors and officers from Torbay Council.
Free road safety bags of goodies will be handed out to children, and there will be several messages announced over Plainmoor's PA system.
Councillor Ian Doggett, Executive Support Member for Transport and a keen Gulls fan, will help to hand out the bags of goodies.
He said: 'We anticipate there will be up to 3,000 people at the match, and attending events like this provides us with an ideal opportunity to put over important road safety messages to people of all ages.
'We want United to pick up all three points, whilst the three key points we will be highlighting are tyre safety, the new laws on the use of mobile phones whilst driving, and the importance of wearing seat belts.'
The Department for Transport is providing sponsorship in order to help Torbay Council promote road safety.
