The coaches and managers of Truro Rugby Football Club Mini-Junior section were presented with waterproof tops on Sunday by Carolyn Peters, general manager of Dales Renault.
Throughout the rugby season these adults look after over 200 young people from age seven to 16, coaching them in the skills of the game. The club provides facilities for the boys and girls to train, play against other clubs and generally enjoy themselves on a Sunday morning in a safe environment.
In presenting the tops Carolyn said: "As a company we admire the dedication you show week in week out, helping these young people and hope that these tops will help to keep you a little bit warmer and drier over the coming months."
On behalf of the club, Paul Barnes, sponsorship chairman, thanked Carolyn and paid tribute to the many sponsors who help the club in a variety of ways. He stressed the importance of having t
he funds available to make sure that the young people have the best possible start to their rugby career - "Who knows, there could be a future world cup winner in our midst?" said Paul.
