Mullion 1 St Agnes 3
ST Agnes put their recent run of bad form behind them and dominated the first half of this entertaining Jolly's Combination League match with Matt Williams forcing a good save from the home 'keeper after only two minutes.
Liam Heenan opened the scoring, 11 minutes into the game, heading home from a James Thomas ball following a corner.
Heenan doubled the Saint's lead seconds later, running from the halfway line to score. The ball stuck in the thick mud around the goalmouth, but Heenan was able to run on to it and toe it over the line.
Mullion were unlucky not to score later, when Saint's keeper James Hoskins called for the ball and missed it, and was then forced to make a diving save.
The half belonged to St Agnes with both Tom Benney and Chris Mulroy outstanding. Mulroy scored their third goal on the stroke of half-time, receiving a well timed pass from Heenan and putting it under the 'keeper.
In the second half, Mullion came back strongly, but their only consolation came after 87 minutes through Graham Cook.
