Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a road accident in Bath in which four people were injured.
The collision, which took place at about 6.50pm yesterday at Pennyquick Bridge, Pennyquick Bottom, involved a Vauxhall Cavalier, a Ford Focus estate and a Ford Transit van.
The 26-year-old male driver of the Focus, who was from Bath, his 23-year-old woman passenger, and her three-year-old son, both from Keynsham, were taken to the Royal United Hospital and treated for injuries including whiplash, head and back injuries.
They are now recovering at home.
The 60-year-old Bath man who was driving the Transit van was also taken to the RUH with a broken right knee and face, head and sternum injuries.
He remains in hospital following an operation.
The red, F-registration Cavalier failed to stop at the scene of the accident and was later discovered abandoned in Redland Park, Twerton.
It was found to have been stolen between 8pm on January 4 and 4am on January 5 from the Moorlands area of Bath.
Police are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or has any information about the theft of the Cavalier or its driver or occupants at the time of the crash.
