COMMUNITY groups in Mid Devon are being given the chance of a helping hand with funding - by applying for two types of grants this year.
Groups involved in running children's play activities and youth activities, sports and arts projects and events are being invited to apply for the grants by Mid Devon District Council.
They can do so if they need funding to help with the costs of key workers for their group - this is known as core funding.
The funds, which will be available for the next financial year (2004/5) are also available to help run projects.
