POLICE have issued a witness appeal to women who used a public toilet in Helston, after a 14-year-old girl was attacked there.

The teenager was in one of the cubicles of the public toilet in Trengrouse Way on December 30 when the attack happened, sometime between 2.30pm and 5pm.

"We know people were using the toilet between these times," said the officer in charge of the investigation, DC Roger Exelby from Camborne CID, "and we are asking them to come forward with any information they may have."

l A 13-year-old boy from the South Brent area of Devon has been arrested and released on police bail to a later date in connection with the incident.
