A Chard councillor, who sparked a storm of protest last year after taking up local people's concerns about an influx of Portuguese workers, is calling for a public meeting to be arranged so more residents get a chance to express their views.
Cllr Audrey Spencer is concerned that further discussion is in the public interest because Chard's growing Portuguese population is an issue in the town.
