First year professional Ben Camara and non-contract defender Narada Benard have both left the club after discussions with head coach Leroy Rosenior.
Camara is the fourth first-year professional to leave, following the departures of Graham Killoughery, Steven Orchard and Lucas Burgess, and now only striker Kain Bond remains from last year's YTS second year select.
Bernard, who made an eight minute substitute appearance for the Gulls against York in December, has been suffering from a knock he picked up in that game, and hasn't been able to train since.
Chairman Mike Bateson said: 'In the case of Ben Camara we once again have the problem of his not getting the games he needs to prove himself, and Leroy feels it is only fair to give him the chance to set himself up with another club.
'In the case of Bernard, his injury has not helped in his attempt to prove himself, but we cannot afford the luxury of carrying a player on the wage bill in these circumstances.'
Bateson also reported that he has not heard from the Hong Kong business man that he was discussing the possible sale of the club to before Christmas and he now believes the deal is dead.
