A CURIOUS cat has had its day in court, even managing to jump on the judge's bench at Exeter Crown Court.
Pure black Cindy is a familiar sight prowling the grounds of the court set within the walls of an 11th century Norman Castle.
But more inquisitive than usual, she sneaked into number two court while it was in session.
She was spotted by court staff as she wandered behind the dock and was sent on her way.
But 30 minutes later Cindy was back and slinking among the barristers in the well of the court.
Then she leaped on to the end of the judicial bench, where Judge Graham Cottle was sitting hearing a case.
Once again an usher grabbed her and ejected her into the main courtyard.
