OPPONENTS to the increase in district councillors' allowances want the electorate to know just who voted in favour and against the award.

With the current decline in public services, together with the fact that councillors' remuneration continued to be a controversial and delicate issue, the public should be aware who voted for or against the pay rises, said John Hambly, member for Falmouth and one of those opposed to the increase.

The rise - which was approved - has caused considerable discussion and not every member was in favour.
