THE county council claims it is trying to address the concerns of Highbridge residents and businesses over the waste transfer station, which is being built at the Isleport Business Park.
Ever since county hall chiefs revealed their intentions to build the station, firms already based at the Business Park and residents living nearby have been opposed to the scheme. Their concerns included the undoubted increase in traffic which will be caused in an already congested area, and the possible smell and attraction of vermin to a site which has food firms nearby.
