FORMER Yeovil Town FC footballer Terry Cotton showed this week that he could handle a ball as well he used to be able to kick one when he helped the Easy Boys through to the Final of the Frank Mills Cup in the Yeovil Sports Skittles League.
Cotton hit a fabulous 73 to help the holders beat plucky Division Three outfit Able Eight by 19 pins in the Semi-Final this week at the Snooker Club.
The Easy Boys were given a fright as their opponents were four up after four hands, but Cotton's magnificent knock ended the dream of Able Eight.
It was tough luck on 17-year-old Martin Swatridge who hit 57 for the losers, but a 56 by Andy Hayward and 55 from Rob Hart complimented Cotton's 73 and the Easy Boys eased through.
The Easy Boys will now face Yellow Wagtail B in the Final at the Westland Leisure Complex in Yeovil on Saturday, January 3, with an 8pm start.
