MID Devon's cricket sides return to league action this weekend, with matches in the Francis Clark Devon League and North Devon Holiday Homes Sunday League.
The area's top side Sandford, have designs on a double -- the Premier Division of the Devon League and also top spot in the North Devon League.
Their side is packed with quality, and new recruit John Rhodes will add stability to their bowling.
Sandford, who finished seventh last season, start their Devon League campaign tomorrow with a trip to Torquay who ended 2002 a place below.
Tiverton Heathcoat are at the re-structuring stage and are expected to find things difficult until they find a new level. They were relegated after finishing bottom of the A Division last season.
Shobrooke, like Sandford, are persuing, two titles in the B Division of the DL, and Division Three of the NDL. They will certainly have their eyes on promotion after finishing third last season.
Thorverton, newly promoted to B Division will be content with a mid-table position.
