ARMED police were called to field near Leedstown on Monday after reports of a man pointing a shotgun at members of the public.
The call to police came at 5.52pm after the man was allegedly seen in the field with the shotgun, pointing it at people nearby before running off. Firearms officer were called to the scene and found the man nearby.
A police spokesman said no firearm was discharged and nobody was injured during the incident. A weapon was recovered.
A 54-year-old local man has been arrested in connection with the incident and is being held at Camborne custody centre.
