Troon got off to a great start in the ECB Premier Division with a 17-run win over St Just in cold and windy conditions at Treslothan Road.
Saints young skipper Gareth May put Troon in and looked on course for a league win, but Troon had other ideas with Jason Weeks in control for most of the game.
New recruit from Camborne, Kevin Roberts, made 8 before he was bowled by the still spritely Mike Roberts at 13-1.
Martin Jenkin, going for his shots, was out at 52-3, caught for 26 by Curnow off young Jamie Semmens, after hitting three sixes and a four.
Young Tim Kitchen did not stay around long, walking back to the pavilion bowled for a duck at 56-3 and patient opener Alan Shears made 27 before he was caught off Bray at 72-4.
Skipper Weeks played his part well, his 50 coming off 57 balls in an hour. Bray removed a ring-rusty Trevor Angove, back from a working holiday in France, at 89-5.
Weeks' knock was certainly swinging the game Troon's way and with Darren Shorland added 70 very valuable runs before both players fell to Semmens.
Martin Strick was out to Gary Thomas at 163-7.
Semmens deserved his figures of 12-2-56-5 and Bray took 2-55 from 12 overs.
It was the young Williams with a brave 30 that steered Troon over the 200 mark. He was the fifth wicket for Semmens, with Moyle out for 8, the ageless 'keeper Kevin Jenkin not out 0.
Last season's run machine, Curnow, was out for a single, bowled by young Kitchen with a single on the board.
Another prospect, Jose, was out for 12 at 19-2 in the seventh over, a deserved wicket for Martin Jenkin.
Former county and club captain Gary Thomas with young prospect Edwards, who is expected to go places, added 79 runs for the third wicket.
Shorland took his first wicket, that of Thomas, who hit six fours in a solid 57 and then he snapped up Smitheram who went to a good catch by Kitchen for 25.
Only Bray reached double figures as wickets tumbled. Skipper May was run out for 9 and Skerrett was well caught by Roberts off Shorland who took his fourth wicket.
Strick only bowled four overs, the young Williams taking a wicket (Bray) to leave Mike Roberts not out 2 as the visitors managed 178.
