Truro College students received certificates from the Devon and Cornwall Constabulary for taking part in an introductory course to the police services.
During March the National Diploma in Public Services students spent two and a half days training with PC Lockland and PC Coston to gain an insight into police work.
Tom Palmer, from Truro, a Public Services student said: "I never knew that there were so many angles to Policing!"
Tom also commented on how interesting he and the rest of the students found the training days. The introduction course is designed to show students the types of work undertaken by the police with view to taking up a career in the service.
Programme manager Larry Sharma praised the two police officers for the positive attitude to the students throughout the training. "The students have found this a really informative two days and have enjoyed the close working relationship with the Devon and Cornwall Constabulary. The working relationship has been formed over the last eight years; it also allows the police to carry out such courses, and keeps them actively involved with the college community, including staff and students alike. I look forward to our continued work with the constabulary."
