This year's St Agnes Spring Show was a special success and the quality of flowers on show was the best yet.
The show was made special by the return of Arthur Benney, chairman of the village gardening association, which runs the event.
Mr Benney's return, after 12 months away because of ill health, was welcomed by everyone and certainly added to the occasion.
Association secretary Ruth Butson said: "Everyone had a splendid show. The judges said the quality of the blooms was very, very good and the floral art was of a very high standard."
The numbers of entries and visitors were both up on last year.
Mrs Butson said plans were already being made for next year's show to again be held in April.
