Cornwall County Cricket Club have announced a squad of 13 players for their Cheltenham & Gloucester third round tie against Kent at Truro Cricket Club on Wednesday, May 7, at 10.45am.
Former Truro professional, South African Steve Pope, plays for the county in the competition for the fourth successive year. He is a permitted overseas player.
In a side full of batting, former first-class players David Roberts (Northamptonshire) and Ryan Driver (Worcestershire and Lancashire) are included. Both players have returned home to play club cricket for Falmouth and Newquay respectively this season.
Other batsmen selected are Ben Price, who is playing club cricket in Gloucestershire this year, Jonathan Kent, James Hands, Gary Thomas, Martin Pearce and skipper Tom Sharp. Gavin Edwards keeps wicket with bowlers Justin Stephens, Chris Hunkin and Nick Carter making up the squad of 13.
