There was a record attendance for the third annual Helston Beer Festival, held at the community centre in Penrose Road at the weekend.
Hundreds of pints were sunk during the two-day event, with some of the beers proving so popular they ran out before closing time on Saturday evening.
Visitors from near and far, among them many real ale enthusiasts and CAMRA members, were spoiled for choice with some 36 brews available on tap.
All the beers were from Cornish breweries, and the local tipples from the Blue Anchor, in Helston, and the Lizard Organic Brewery, at Cury, were among the favourites.
Hot food provided by the organisers - the Lizard 2000 Club - and live entertainment by Mullion-based folk group Splinter added to the enjoyment.
In addition to their best ever turnout, the organisers reported record receipts.
Club spokesman Guenther Bauer said that thanks to the generosity of Helston solicitors Randle Thomas, who donated the souvenir glasses, and other local businesses who sponsored the festival, more than £4,000 had been raised.
The proceeds will be distributed to local charities.
