Four Lane's spring fair proved a "total success" with everyone having a great time and £125 being raised in the process.
Held at the village's Methodist church the highlight was undoubtedly the bonnet parade, which was swamped with entries.
Samantha Tonkin won the five and under age group, Charlotte Barnars won the six to 12-year-old category and Pat Cole was deemed to have the best bonnet out of the adult entries.
Tommy Bray, the chairman of Four Lanes regeneration group who helped organise the day, declared it a total success.
"Although the money raised was most welcome it was the event itself that mattered most as it binds the community together and puts life back into the village," he said.
l Entry forms for Four Lane's tug of war competition at the village fun day on August 2 are now available. The tug of war event starting at around 3pm, and will be held on the village playing field.
Truronian Travel are sponsoring the contest and the top three teams will go away with prizes.
Entry is free and the forms are available by contacting Tommy Bray at 2 The Square, Four Lanes, Redruth, TR16 6PZ.
