ANOTHER 'affordable homes' project for Redruth is scheduled to start in June. The first eight of 19 one-bedroom flats will be released on to the market at the same time.
Manor Court in Treleigh Avenue is the second development by St Austell-based Affordable Homes of Cornwall Ltd, the first wholly private sector company dedicated to providing homes for first time buyers in the county.
The company has bought an half-acre site of open land adjacent to Treleigh Manor, a Grade Two listed private residence.
Kerrier District Council has given the go-ahead for the two-storey complex.
The scheme will be notable for its front elevation effectively continuing the external appearance of the neigh- bouring Treleigh Man-or, including Victorian-style windows.
The first flats - all designed by Penryn-based architects CAD - are expected to be ready for occupation in late summer.
It is anticipated that prices will start from £68,500.
