DRIVERS who break the speed limit could be caught on camera by their neighbours as a part of a new scheme to cut speeding.
The community speed watch initiative involves local volunteers being trained by the police to use speed guns.
Warning letters are then sent out to drivers with anyone who re-offends getting a second, tougher, warning and if they still do not comply officers will target them specifically.
South Somerset District Council has allocated up to £20,000 to buy equipment for the scheme to be implemented locally.
