THE summer term has begun at school's across the Wellington area and at one in particular, new prefects been appointed to set an example for their peers.
Wellington Junior School has named a new team of prefects who are ready and full of enthusiasm for special responsibilities and duties.
For the prefects from year five, it is their last term at the junior school before starting in the prep year in September.
And, the school has held an award ceremony in recognition of the kindness, consideration and courtesy shown by school children.
Pupils have been presented with the Golden Leaf Awards for their behaviour in the spring term, and each winner has been given a shiny new Golden Leaf badge to wear.
