THOUSANDS of people are expected to converge on the Yeovil Showground this weekend for the annual Yeovil Festival of Transport extravaganza.
Once again the organisers have laid on a wonderful variety of entertainment for all the family and they are hoping to raise plenty of money for charity.
Among the attractions will be thousands of vintage and classic cars, as well as commercial and military vehicles and motorcycles.
There will also be steam engines, fairground rides, hundreds of trade stands and plenty of displays and demonstrations inside the main ring.
The show - being held on Saturday and Sunday - starts at 9.30am and for further information you can visit the festival website at www.yfot.co.uk or phone 01935-422319.
Tickets are priced £6 for adults 16 years and over, £4 for children aged five to 15 and senior citizens, while children aged under-five and coach drivers will receive free admission, and car parking is also free at the Dorchester Road site.
In order to help as many people as possible get to the festival and to ease the expected traffic congestion, South West Coaches will be providing free bus travel to and from the ever-popular event.
Buses will leave Yeovil Bus Station on both days at 11am and 12 noon and return from the festival at 4pm and 5pm.
