A PARKING charge rise of just 20p has made accidents in a Chard residential area inevitable, it is claimed.
Charges at the South Somerset District Council-owned Crowshute House car park have risen from 50p to 70p, causing motorists to park on nearby roads at Mitchell Gardens.
Brian Elphick, chairman of Mitchell Gardens Residents' Association, said the hike means an accident is now almost inevitable.
