Twenty-four Nippers and their parents have just returned from South West Wales after a very successful if somewhat damp weekend at the Nipper National Championships held at Whitesands Beach, St David's in Pembrokeshire. It was a long way to go but everyone had a fantastic time despite the weather.
Team manager, Traci Tredinnick-Parker said: "We had a team of Nippers of varying degrees of ability as it is our policy to give every child a chance to take part. I was extremely proud of all of them. It is a tremendous achievement to gain a medal at National level with the high standards shown by the 400 children from 20 clubs within Cornwall, Devon and Wales which took part in the two-day competition.
"Eight-year-old Vicky Burlingham, in her first National Championships, won a silver and two bronze medals, 11-year-old Jordan Roberts won a bronze medal as did 12-year-old Joel McWilliams. We finished in 9th place overall which we are very pleased with."
