THE president of Ilminster Chamber of Commerce, Bryan Ferriss, came under fire from councillors at last week's town council meeting.
It was revealed in the News that intervention from the chamber and the Council for the Protection of Rural England (CPRE) has led to the Shudrick Lane supermarket application being frozen, while regional planning bosses decide if it should go to central government.
At Tuesday's meeting, Councillor Mike Henly criticised Mr Ferriss, who was not present, and claimed he was 'small minded' over the issue.
