A PENSIONER was robbed of his life savings when con artists, posing as care workers, stole £9,000 from his home in Taunton.
Two women, claiming to be care workers, called on Douglas Duke, of Eastleigh Road last Saturday.
Mr Duke, 84, said: "When I heard what they were offering I let them in - people like me could do with a bit of extra care sometimes.
"They said they could get me all sorts of things like new locks for my doors and even a walking frame - I was completely taken in."
