Excitement is building among members of Taunton Vale Rotary Club as the build up to the first ever Ironman UK Triathlon competition enters its final stages.
The Rotary Club is responsible for organising, with 28 other clubs from around the country, the race, which takes place on Sunday.
Athletes will be raising money for three main causes - life education centres, the Jane Tomlinson appeal, Hope & Homes for Children - as well as many other charities of a more personal choice.
Proceedings begin at 6am at Sherbourne Castle lake with a 2.4 mile swim, followed by a 112 mile cycle and then a 26.2 mile run near Montacute House to finish at midday.
