YOUNGSTERS from around Somerset have been offered the chance to experience something they might not have previously considered for a career at a summer holiday activities scheme.
Around 200 young people are getting the chance to try their hand at canoeing, rock climbing, mountain biking, sailing and circus skills.
The courses are intended to give 16-year-old school leavers help in making decisions about their future.
This scheme has been organised by Connexions Somerset, the county-wide youth advisory service, together with a number of partner organisations.
