WAR veterans who fought in the Far East feel "snubbed" as Bridgwater shamefully bucked the national trend by not hosting an official commemoration for the 60th anniversary of VJ-Day - not even the town's main church was available for a service.
Services and parades were held across the country this week to mark the cessation of hostilities in the Far East - but veterans living in Bridgwater were not even acknowledged for their participation in the conflict.
